Urgent
shipments

When time is short, accurate information matters even more. First we establish the situation, then look for a workable solution.

Quick decisions need good information

“Urgent” alone does not tell us how the transport can be organised. It makes a difference whether the goods are ready for loading, still need to be packed or have to be transferred from a broken-down vehicle. Loading, the route, driving and rest times, customs clearance and acceptance of the goods together determine the timeframe.

For the first call

Tell us the location of the goods, the earliest possible collection and the latest delivery date. We also need the quantity, dimensions, weight, temperature requirements and special handling conditions. A contact person should be reachable at both the loading site and the delivery address.

If a vehicle has broken down

Alongside the exact location, it is important to know whether the cargo is accessible, the refrigeration is working and the location is safe. Tell us the condition of the goods, temperature data recorded so far and which documents are available. We organise a transfer to suit the requirements of the goods and the possibilities on site.

What is actually achievable?

We assess options within our partner network, the suitability of the vehicle and the time required for the entire route together. If several solutions are available, we explain the differences. If a deadline cannot be met, that must also be clear; urgency does not override safety, temperature or driving-time requirements.

An agreed next step

Before making a change, we agree the new plan, expected costs and necessary notifications. New information affects more than just the driver: the sender, consignee and customs partner may also be involved. This ensures everyone works from the same plan and reduces misunderstandings.
